Summer wedding at deans court, wimborne
Deans Court is a stunning historic house sat in beautiful grounds in Wimborne, Dorset. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Once you enter through the magnificent gates you feel like you are a million miles away, in a quiet, quaint location. The house is owned by the William's family and has been in the family for the last 500 years! The venue is used to host many beautiful weddings and events all year round.
My beautiful couple Rebecca and Robert had a truly wonderful wedding day at Deans Court in July 2025. Rebecca the Bride spent her morning in the Gate House, along with her close family and Bridesmaids. The Gate House is the perfect place for bridal preperations. Rebecca and her Bridesmaids all had their hair and make up done in the lounge, which boasts a large window, letting in plenty of natural light. It is perfect for bridal portraits and for the make up artists to work their magic! Large sofas allow family and friends to sit, chat and relax for the morning, so everyone is together in one space.
The Groom and Groomsmen got ready at Apple Cottage. Apple Cottage is a short walk from the main house through the grounds at Deans Court. The cottage was built in the 18th Century and sits within a walled garden, total privacy and picturesque! A perfect place for the guys to get ready, have a beer and practice their speeches before the ceremony!
The drinks reception started one hour before the ceremony, the weather was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a summer wedding! The ceremony's at Deans Court are held outside at the back of the house. The gardens looked so stunning! Rebecca and Robert had a white and sage colour theme. Beautiful flowers decorated the ceremony area. Talented violinists played beautiful music in the background, the perfect setting for drinks in the sun before Rebecca and Robert became Mr & Mrs!
The ceremony was beautiful! Rebecca was walked down the isle by her Father. A beaming Groom waited for her at the end of the isle. The ceremony was full of love and laughter!
After the ceremony guests threw confetti for the new Mr and Mrs! This always makes for some beautiful shots, natural laugher as there is always a natural high for the couple and the guests right after the ceremony!
After the ceremony the newly weds enjoyed a refreshing drink with their guests and then we captured some beautiful family and group shots at the front of the house.
The front of the house is exquisite, its a beautiful background for photographs and the lighting round there was just perfect! Group shots don't have to take hours, the couple keep their list simple, including all of their immediate family and the bridal party.
We managed to squeeze in five minutes for a few couple shots before the wedding breakfast. This is such a lovely opportunity for the couple to breathe for a minute and embrace the fact they just got married! So exciting!
The wedding breakfast took place in the beautiful marque, which is at the back of the property set in the beautiful gardens. The tables were dressed to perfection with a personal touch on every table.
After the speeches and the wedding breakfast we snuck off for some couple portraits in the grounds of Deans Court. This venue is so stunning for these shots! There are so many areas to use, including the front of the house, by the lake, the bridge and walking shots across the beautiful lawns. An extensive array of areas to use. Couple portraits are a really lovely opportunity for the newly weds to take some time out away from their guests to spend some time alone.
This fun filled wedding finished with plenty of dancing and laughter. The dance floor was full to the brim with guests dancing and enjoying themselves! The perfect end to a glorious wedding day!
I loved shooting here at Deans Court, what a wonderful wedding venue! The grounds are stunning, the staff here are fantastic, the day ran smoothly from start to finish and I think the pictures show how beautiful the day was!
